Housing Works Book Store Wedding

A Housing Works Bookstore Wedding is a unique event set in the iconic city of New York. Housing Works is a community based organization that provides shelter and other services for people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. The Bookstore Cafe was opened in the vibrant SoHo area of New York City by the organization in a series of enterprises that were intended to provide revenue that would fund Housing Works programs. The venue is a space that welcomes a myriad of events and provides a perfect place for couples to “tie the knot”. The Housing Works Bookstore Wedding of Amy Stack and Robert Stribley took place on July 20, 2012. This photograph was taken on their wedding day as the groom, Robert, and his groomsmen prepared themselves for the occasion. In the image, Robert looks into the mirror before him as he straightens his black bow tie. Next to Robert, one of his groomsmen is also fixing his tie in the mirror, which fills up most of the picture. The mirror is rimmed with a gold frame that shows intricate details in its design. The decorative frame hangs on a red brick wall that adds texture and character to the image. The groom stands with his back to the camera in the forefront of the picture, and his figure is blurred a bit to bring focus to his reflection. Robert gazes into the glass in an almost meditative state. His expression is one of wonder, and he stands ready to walk out and meet the love of his life in marriage.
