Locusts on Hudson Wedding

A Locusts Hudson Wedding is held on a gorgeous private estate in Hudson Valley, New York. The manor at Locusts is a structure that is covered in history, much of which has been retained over the years. Locusts on Hudson was built in 1860 by rail and shipping tycoon William Dinsmoor. Since that time, the property has transferred owners numerous times, with each resident adding his or her own touch to the estate. Today, the iconic landscape of Locust on Hudson stands as a modern tribute to the wonder and beauty of its past. The property boasts 1,000 acres of parkland, a grand manor, and an incredibly charming 19th-century farming complex. Each of these make Locusts a uniquely perfect place to hold a memorable wedding. The Locusts Hudson Wedding of Lindsey and Dan took place on a hot summer weekend at the end of July. In this image from their special day, some of the male guests enjoy giant cigars after the wedding ceremony. The moment is somewhat of a throwback to the days when the men of Locusts would withdraw after dinner for cigars. Behind the men in this picture, green leaves blow about gently in the summer breeze that floats off the Hudson River. It is a peaceful scene, one that shows the tranquil ambiance of venue. Soon, as the sky grows darker in the evening light, the guests will all reconvene for the wedding reception on the grounds, carrying this sense of calm and content joy with them as they move forward throughout the night.
