Barn at Liberty Farms Wedding

Aren’t fall weddings just so romantic? It’s a season of change and transformation, new colors and cooling weather. Jess and Fitz were married at Liberty Farms last fall in a beautifully elegant ceremony, gathered with their closest friends and family, and surrounded by rolling green hills. Their venue was absolutely lovely. I say this about a lot of places I photograph, but this is truly one of my new favorites.

If your wedding aesthetic is anywhere near, rustic, country, equine, or Americana, run, don’t walk to consider having a Barn at Liberty Farms wedding. There are three distinct event spaces, two outdoor spaces with sweeping views of the farm’s natural trees, and the indoor stallion barn space. The barn has been modernized in a way that maintains its heritage, making it an elegant and chic option in the crowded landscape of barn wedding venues.

The farm covers 300 acres of lush rolling countryside nestled in the Hudson Valley. Not just here for looks, the property is a working farm. There is still an equestrian center on the property with horse boarding and dressage training. The farm raises both boiler chickens and laying hens. Both types get to forage through the grass and spend time in the sunlight leading to healthy meat and more nutritious eggs. The farm also grows certified organic vegetable crops that range from arugula to turnips, with everything in between.

The event staff at Liberty Farms are experienced pros with extensive vendor lists and recommendations. The barn itself has a great set up for weddings, with dressing rooms, remodeled restrooms, and separate spaces where the bar and stations like photo booths can be set up. Glamping style accommodations are also available on-site in five deluxe tents. They book quite far in advance, so be sure to visit their site for details on planning a Barn at Liberty Farms wedding.
