The rays of the bright July sun danced overhead the day the Hartford wedding pictures were taken. The heat of the summer day was tempered by a refreshing breeze, creating a perfect day for a wedding.
Hartford, CT is a bustling city, but the number of picturesque parks and venues in the area attract many brides. Among the most scenic are the Elizabeth Park and City Hall. Both spots provide excellent backdrops for wedding photography.
This particular wedding chose a unique setting, the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, after a traditional church ceremony. The above picture was taken at the bride’s home as as her “ladies in waiting” prepared her for the big day. As the bride had her make-up re-touched on the porch, a soft light brushed over her.She was glowing in this moment, and I felt the need to capture it. You could sense the bride’s wonder and anticipation as she looked up into that light. Her expression and poise in the picture reminds me a bit of Sophia Loren. The black and white photograph makes the image look like it was pulled from a classic old movie. The bride is the embodiment of glamour and grace as she is made ready to see her husband and begin her very own happily ever after. Beautiful venues include Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, and Society Room of Hartford.
