Orthodox Jewish Wedding Photographers

Orthodox Jewish Wedding Photographers are witness to a myriad of traditions and customs that make up the marriage ceremony. Common Jewish wedding tradition includes kiddushin (a betrothal, when the groom gives the bride a ring), a ketubah (a marriage contract), a chuppah (a marriage canopy used during the ceremony), and the breaking of the glass (when the groom steps on a glass to symbolize the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem). Orthodox Jewish Wedding Photographers know how important it is to capture every one of these moments as they occur throughout the day. The Orthodox Jewish wedding of Daniella and Sam displayed many of these rituals. The wedding ceremony and reception took place on the property of Daniella’s father, just outside of Philadelphia, PA. It was a hot evening late in the summer, with the guests all dancing and having a wonderful time together. In this image, a number of the male guests jump around on the dance floor, with the night sky dark overhead. To the delight of his friends, one guest leaps over a rope made from the ties of two others. The lights on the awning shine in warm hues, as the guest punches his fists fiercely out into the air and takes off from the ground. His expression is a study in concentration and sweat gleams on his brow. He flies over the ties, getting incredible height as he jumps. It is a moment of unabashed merriment, shared by a group of friends on this very happy summer day.
