A Beach Wedding Hawaii takes place in paradise. The Beach Wedding Hawaii of Elyse Butler and Matt Mallams took place in Honolulu on a gorgeous Tuesday in April of 2012. In this photograph from their wedding day, the bride and groom stand on the sandy shores of Waikiki Beach. The bride, Elyse, looks like an island princess in her light, flowing gown and crown of white flowers. In the image, Elyse holds a colorful bouquet of pink and yellow blooms from her left hand. The flowers hang down in her hand as she tilts her head up to receive a kiss from Matt, her husband. Matt wears a pale gray suit, with a green lei around his neck. Both the bride and groom appear completely at ease with one another, as they immerse themselves in the wonders of their wedding day as well as the wonders of Hawaii. Matt gently holds Elyse around the waist, and they bask in this instant of wedded bliss. The newlyweds said “I do” only moments earlier on this same beach, with the Pacific Ocean as a magnificent backdrop for the nuptials. After the marriage ceremony, I walked with the couple along the shore to take portraits of the two of them and to give them a bit of alone time on this enchanting day. Many of their close friends and family had traveled to be with Matt and Elyse on their wedding day, and while the couple enjoyed being with their loved ones, it was nice for them to get a few minutes to themselves as newlyweds before the festivities of the reception began. This scenic photo shows the two taking in this new chapter in their relationship, as the waves before them slowly roll up to the sand.
