The bride and groom got ready in separate areas, and Melissa was able to spend some time with her parents beforehand. She was a vision in a white Stella York dress with tulle that fell in a train of perfect layers, crystal jewelry, and Kate Spade shoes. Chris donned a charcoal colored suit for the occasion, adding a white tie to complete the look. The bridesmaids were lovely in navy dresses that perfectly matched the groomsmen’s ties. Even the ring bearers were strutting their stuff with some suspenders, accompanied by flower girls in fluffy white ensembles. The ceremony was moving and beautiful, and everyone looked incredible. The guests had a ton of fun wishing the newlyweds well on the steps outside St. Patrick Church.
After this perfect moment had been photographed, the bridal party and two lovebirds slipped away for some breathtaking shots on the docks of Mystic Seaport, with sailboats making up the background. As if the setting weren’t already perfect, the sun shot streaks of pink and orange through the sky as it set, creating an even more memorable experience. The reception at Latitude 41 held an air of delight as speeches were made for Melissa and Chris. Even more beautiful were the first dances, one for the newlyweds, and one a father-daughter routine. After that, everyone got into a festive mood and danced the night away with the bride and groom.
